My 4 Step Agenda!

While there are numerous areas which need to be addressed legislatively, I have set a 4 step program for the major items I will pursue in my political efforts. If I am able to achieve any of these goals, I will consider my political efforts to have been a success. If I can achieve all 4, I will retire and consider my career in politics to have been successful beyond my wildest dreams. I regard all of these items as being necessary if the United States is to remain a free and prosperous Country. I fear that the U.S. will go the way of the Roman Empire if this modest agenda is not achieved. I ask for the help of the voters in the 12th Congressional District as I need the bully pulpit provided by public office. If I am not elected, I will not be able to act on any of these ideas, and nothing will change.

Step 1

First we must stop an out of control Federal Judiciary which is being used by the ACLU and other anti-christian forces to attack people of faith. I have prepared a short essay on the checks and balances in the U.S. Constitution and legislation in the form of a Joint Resolution which addresses this issue (these items can be found by clicking on the appropriate links on the home page).

Step 2

There is currently a massive loss of good jobs in this country, because of outsourcing, and we are beset by a tax system which can only be described as a complete abomination. These problems can be addressed by repealing the 16th amendment and replacing the Income Tax with a 50% Revenue Tariff on all imports of goods and services.

Step 3

We must save the Social Security System for all current social security recipients and all future generations. The way to save Social Security is to declare the system to be what it in fact is, a defined benefit pension plan. Doing this will stop congress from being able to spend the Social Security surplus. Stopping Congress from spending the money is the first step needed to save Social Security.

When we declare the system to be a pension plan, which under our pension laws must be prudently invested for the exclusive benefit of current and future beneficiaries of the system. Our pension laws will require contributions to be invested in an actual trust fund.

We must then make changes which will remove the social security funds from the Federal Budget. These changes need to include the following.

1. The contributions to the system need to be collected by the states, and paid directly to the Social Security Pension Fund. The states already have the computer systems in place to collect these funds because they collect and account for unemployment benefits.

2. The Social Security System must be converted to a corporate entity in the same way the Post Office was changed to a corporation. This corporation would have the responsibility to invest the trust funds and pay out benefits.

These actions would remove the Social Security Trust Funds from the control of Congress and stop Congress from spending the money.

After the Social Security system is changed so that Congress can not spend the money. Congress must direct that a portion of the government owned properties held by our government (such as closed military bases) be sold and the proceeds be paid into the trust. This action would make up for lost earnings, and allow a reasonable rate of return on the invested assets. A reasonable rate of return, on assets invested to pay for Social Security Benefits, is needed to solve the funding problems of the current system.

Step 4

After we have saved Social Security by removing the program from the Federal Budget so Congress can no longer spend the Social Security surplus, and replaced the Income Tax with a tariff which is collected by the Customs Department. We can completely eliminate the IRS as a Federal Agency. This country is well on the way to becoming a police state, and eliminating the IRS will go a long way to stopping our slide into tyranny.
